Social realities are constantly evolving. Changes in family dynamics, an aging population, mental health challenges, addictions, poverty, and social exclusion can all affect the lives of individuals, families, and communities.

Responding to these realities requires a broad understanding of each situation, strong analytical skills, and collaboration among different professionals to provide support that reflects each person's needs.

These realities are explored in CDI College's Social Service Intervention – JWW.0V program, where you will develop the skills needed to assess needs, understand people's circumstances, collaborate with different partners, and contribute to appropriate interventions with individuals, families, groups, and communities.

Understanding Before Providing Support

In social work, every situation is unique.

Two people facing a similar challenge may have very different needs depending on their environment, available resources, support network, or life experiences.

That is why assessing the situation is an essential first step. It helps identify the factors shaping a person's circumstances and contributes to interventions that reflect their individual context.

Training for the Realities of Social Work

CDI College's Social Service Intervention – JWW.0V program helps you develop skills in helping relationships, communication, needs assessment, intervention with individuals, families, groups, and communities, and collaboration with different partners.

With hands-on training and three practicums totalling 690 hours, you will have opportunities to apply what you learn in settings that reflect the realities of social work while progressively developing your professional judgment.
