Laval, QB – April 3, 2013 - Children living with cancer not only fight against a terrible disease, they may also face discrimination and judgment from their classmates when they lose their hair from chemotherapy treatments. Out of solidarity for those living with cancer, the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge was created in 2001.

Staff and supporters at CDI College in Laval are getting ready to take the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge on April 12, 2013 and hope to raise at least $3,750. Currently, they have raised $2,633, close to 70% of their pledge. With less than 10 days to go, the team is asking for support through participation or donations in order to reach their goal. Every contribution counts and all donations will get the team closer to their goal.

All donations to the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge are used to provide services to children living with cancer and their families throughout Quebec. Leucan offers financial assistance, emotional support, guidance and recreational activities. The organization also contributes more than $1 million to cancer research each year.
