The talent of CDI College students continues to gain recognition on the international stage.

Claudia Bertrand, a student in the 3D Modeling Animation Art and Design – NTL.0Z program at CDI College, is now being featured on The Rookies. This well-known platform showcases emerging digital artists from around the world.

Her project, BlackBird Cafe, represents a major milestone in her journey. It is her first fully realized 3D environment, inspired by concept art from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Through this piece, she creates an immersive setting where warm interior lighting, realistic materials, and thoughtful visual storytelling come together seamlessly.

As she explains:
“This 12-week project marks my first fully realized 3D environment and the beginning of my demo reel journey. I explored warm interior lighting, realistic materials, and subtle environment storytelling. It reflects both the skills I’ve developed so far and the foundation I’m building for a career in 3D.”
