A CDI College Student Designs an Immersive Game Environment

May 20, 2026 | Quebec

The talent of CDI College students is also expressed through rich and immersive interactive worlds.

Kyle Naylor, a student in the 3D Modeling Animation Art and Design – NTL.0Z program at CDI College, recently showcased his project on The Rookies. This platform highlights emerging artists in digital creation.

His project, Detective Adrian Grey’s Office, presents a 3D environment designed with video game principles in mind. Inspired by an existing concept, Kyle reimagined the space to support interactive storytelling, transforming a Victorian house into a detailed investigation setting filled with clues and atmosphere.

Designed as a central hub within a game, the environment allows players to return and explore, with each element contributing to the narrative and overall immersion. Lighting, prop placement, and material work all come together to create a cohesive and believable space.

This project reflects a comprehensive approach to 3D creation that brings together modelling, storytelling, and experience design.

The 3D Modeling Animation Art and Design – NTL.0Z program at CDI College prepares students to work in a variety of creative industries, including video games, where immersive environment design plays a key role.

Congratulations to Kyle on the quality of his work and the depth of the world he has created!
