As one of the most diverse areas in Toronto, North York is a collection of multicultural neighbourhoods with Indigenous, Asian, African-Caribbean, African, Middle Eastern, Jewish, Latin American, and European communities. The region is also home to areas like York Mills, Hogg's Hollow, Bridle Path, and Willowdale. In addition, the region is home to a growing central business district on Yonge Street between Sheppard and Finch Avenues. Once considered a suburb of Toronto, North York has developed into an urban centre in recent years with numerous corporations building office towers and establishing their Canadian headquarters in the area. Students will find a range of shops, restaurants, and personal services in the area around the campus. Along with several bus routes nearby, the campus is a short walk from the North York and Sheppard-Yonge subway lines.
