Important Update on Recent Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) Decision 

(Updated on October 14, 2026) 

On October 6, 2026, the Ontario Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security paused OSAP payments to students attending private postsecondary institutions, while it conducts a province-wide review of the OSAP system in the private sector. 

This pause applies to all private career colleges in Ontario, including CDI College, and affects outstanding OSAP payments for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 school years. The pause will remain in place until the government completes its review.  

We understand that this may be stressful if you rely on OSAP to help pay for your studies. You still have options and you don't need to figure it out alone. Our team is available to discuss other financing options and answer questions about next steps.
