On this day, we celebrate the achievements of workers, and give them some time to take a much needed rest!
World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) is an awareness day observed on 10 September every year, in order to provide worldwide commitment and action to prevent suicides, with various activities around the world since 2003.
The day was created to recognize the legacy and history of residential schools. It was inspired by the story of Phyllis (Jack) Webstad, who at the age of six attended her first day of residential school in 1973 wearing an orange shirt.

Recently we had a visitor at our North York campus. His name is Hurley and he is very friendly and playful.
For Orange Shirt Day, CDI College is selling t-shirts designed by Child and Youth Services Worker graduate from Edmonton City Centre, Krystal E. T-shirts will be sold for a minimum donation of $5.00 and all proceeds will be donated towards residential school survivors.
