Toronto, ON – July 30, 2013 – In response to the demand for qualified graphic designers in the province, CDI College is now offering the Visual Graphic Design program at campuses in Hamilton, North York, Mississauga, Scarborough and Toronto. Starting this fall, students can prepare for a creative career in less than a year.
“From print ads and logos to websites and apps, design has become an integral part of everybody’s business,” says Larry Heinzlmeir, VP of Marketing for CDI College. “As design technology continues to change, there will be greater opportunities for those with the cutting edge skills needed to produce effective design in advertising, publishing, entertainment and the corporate sector.”
Students in the 51-week Visual Graphic Design program will develop the key skills employers demand. They’ll become technically proficient with the standard design software used in the field, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Students will also explore electronic design, web design and dynamic media, mastering the common software such as Dreamweaver, Flash and ActionScript.
Graduates will be able to apply for a range of jobs, including graphic designer, multimedia developer, digital illustrator and interactive media developer. They may also find positions at advertising agencies, business services firms, commercial printers and publishing companies.
