Two new CDI College training programs prepare students for careers in marketing and social media
In the last decade, we’ve seen a significant shift in how products are marketed and sold – people have moved to researching and buying items online – and that means the need for marketers with traditional and digital business skills is growing.
Combined with the province of Manitoba’s most recent Labour Market Occupational Forecasts predicting more than 1,000 marketing job openings between now and 2022, CDI College is proud to be launching two new marketing programs in Manitoba - Business and Digital Marketing, and Social Media Marketing.
The Business and Digital Marketing diploma program focuses on developing key business skills in the areas of accounting, business writing and law, the fundamentals of management, and human resources. It also includes a thorough refresher of the Microsoft Office suite of programs – Word, Excel, and Outlook.
There is an additional emphasis on digital marketing tools as well, exploring how the various social media platforms can be used to get your vital marketing messages to the masses.
In the Social Media Marketing diploma program, you’ll take a deep dive into the elements of successful online marketing campaigns, long-term strategies, and future trends. Along the way, you’ll gain an understanding for the creation and curation of online content, metrics and analytics, digital strategy and planning, as well as how to market effectively for major social networks, including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and up-and-coming platforms.
Both programs include a practicum placement, so you’ll get an opportunity to test your new skills on the job before graduation.
CDI College is now accepting applications for the Business and Digital Marketing and Social Media Management programs. For more information on how to get started, fill out the Request Info form to your right.
