A celebration of life before the Lenten season; Mardi Gras nearly always involves the use of masks and costumes by participants with the most popular celebratory colors being purple, green, and gold.

Originally started as a Christian feast day celebrating the life of St. Patrick, it is a day of revelry and a celebration of all things Irish. Don’t forget to wear green!
