Surrey, BC – August 13, 2013 – CDI College is hosting an Info Session on August 14, 2013 at its campus in Surrey to highlight the Dental Technician program and introduce this growing field to those interested in a stable and rewarding career.

Thanks to their specialized training, dental technicians will always be in-demand. The growth of Canada’s aging population is expected to increase the need for their services, as well. According to Work BC, approximately 1,040 positions will open up by 2015, the majority of which will result from retirements in the field.

“With a growing number of dental technicians in BC approaching retirement, there will be ample opportunities for new techs in the province,” says Larry Heinzlmeir, VP of Marketing for CDI College. “CDI College is the only school in BC to offer digital design and manufacturing training for the dental technician field, setting our graduates apart from the competition.”

Along with learning all about CDI College’s Dental Technician program, guests at the Info Session will have a chance to hear from Claude Sieber, a prominent figure in the fields of dental technology and photography. Known for his contribution to a range of dental products, Sieber owns and operates a specialized dental lab in Basel, Switzerland and a training facility for expert dental ceramists. He works with dentists around the globe, focusing on interior tooth replacement and has lectured extensively at universities all over the world.

Guests will also have the opportunity to tour the campus and check out the state of the art dental technician lab. Instructors, admissions representatives and other campus staff will also be on hand to discuss employment opportunities for dental technicians in BC.
