Congrats to Burnaby Campus's Dental Assisting Graduates!

October 27, 2015 | British Columbia

October 28, 2015 – Dental Assisting students from CDI College’s Burnaby campus should give themselves a pat on the back for achieving an outstanding 100% passing rate at this year’s National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB) exam.

Established in November 1997, the NDAEB was designed to assure and provide recognition for those who present the necessary knowledge and skills in the area. Examinees are put through written and clinical exams and evaluations to see whether they meet the current baseline standards to become a dental assistant in their province or territory.

Taught by experienced industry professionals, CDI College's Dental Assisting diploma program – one of three private Dental Assisting programs in British Columbia to be accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada (CDAC) – is a comprehensive hands-on training program that covers all the fundamentals and essentials of the program and one of the most in demand. In 2014 alone, the Burnaby and Surrey campuses had an average employment rate of over 93% for new grads, reflecting the demand for skilled dental professionals.

Dental care, oral pathology, and radiography are only a few of the many topics students learn about to assist dentists during treatments and perform infection control. Patient records, practice management and other dental office duties are covered as well. To ensure our graduates are equipped with the necessary skills to not only pass the NDAEB but excel in their new career, students receive extensive hands-on training in state-of-the-art labs as well as participate in practical field placements in a private practice as well.

CDI College graduates have repeatedly demonstrated their high calibre training and confidence by repeatedly achieving exceptional passing rates while exceeding national scores. This year, not only did graduates from the Burnaby campus achieve a 100% passing rate, they also achieved 11.9 per cent higher than national passing scores and 3 per cent higher than the national average for first time takers!

CDI College's Dental Assisting program has no waitlists and is accepting applications. Contact our campuses today or click here for more information.
