Building a resume and writing a cover letter can be very tricky, tricky enough that you may run into writer's block a few times. Here are some tips from Jamie who runs our Career Services office:
- Use keywords to tailor your resume
- Customize your cover letter for each opening you apply for
- Create a strong profile or objective statement that is authentic to you
Feel free to visit Jamie when you are having difficulty in this area. She is available from 8:00am - 4:30pm, Mon-Fri.
Marla is our Social Media Specialist Instructor, who is looking forward to passing along the knowledge she has acquired in her career to hungry students wanting to pursue a career in social media; either to build their own channels or to help other companies build theirs. Back in her 20's, Marla used to be the lead singer in a classic rock cover band called Billie Vegas. "Now, I just wail away at Karaoke every once an a while, and reminisce over the gold old days." Welcome Marla!
Baillie is one of our Business Intructors who is really passionate when it comes to teaching Business Law. She is looking forward to watching the students walk across the graduation stage, especially those who never thought they could make it. If you didn't know, Baillie played soccer professionally in Europe for a year, but it was cut short due to an injury. We are very pleased to have Baillie as part of our team and we are excited to get to know more about her.
